There is a magazine called “The Male” and apparently distributed randomly among Australian males.
You may have a look at their facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/healthymaleau/

Now, I am also receiving their printed version at my address of 14 Pimmys crt, Skye, VIC.
I am still thinking this must be some mailing error, not the intention of the creators of this magazine.

Their printed version, contrary to their name and Facebook statements, has very little if anything to do with Australian males as such.

Most if not all the articles are written either by women feminists or by LGBTQ+ activists, or critical race theorists. Moreover, material seems to be sometimes plagiarized from US sources and not even attempted to be adapted to an Australian audience, not to mention that it has nothing to do with heterosexual male Australian.

If they discuss families, it is all about LGBTQ+ families; and if they discuss mental health, it is all about minorities' mental problems. And if they discuss healthy weight, it is all about racism.
One amazing paragraph states:
Specific physical health consequences of racism:
* Overweight.
A lack of evidence (!) for associations between racism and some other health conditions (e.g. cardiovascular disease and diabetes ) probably (!!!) reflects a lack of research.
What a relief. Oh, wait! I am a Russian Australian male with a few extra kgs behind my belt! Obviously, this is because ...
... and all this drivel is paid for directly out of my pocket via special tax that supposedly goes to A.G.D.H, but then magically ends up supporting this bunch of pseudo-scientific activists and parasites.

Sure, there is a chance that this magazine's claim that "Healthy Male is supported by funding from the Australian Government Department of Health" is false and that department, its ministers and officials have nothing to do with them nor with their editor Lauren Williamson.

But it is a slim chance.

I wrote some letters to the editorial "team" of the magazine, the shadow health minister for Victoria, and one of the federal health ministers, - asking all the same questions and trying to understand how and why.
Judging from their answers, which were more or less evasive, I think the whole magazine is merely a corruption scheme that funnels public funds to a leftist quasi-academic advocacy group. Nobody reads this magazine except a small group of leftist activists, so it is kind of an open secret. It was a pure chance that I got my hands on it.

I hope this illustrates how limited public funds designed to help Australian males are wasted on some pet projects of our intellectual elite, niche advocacy groups and groupthinking activists.
