Я неоднократно заявлял, что русский язык это говно и он мне остоебенел. Однако я люблю ЖЖ (образца хотя бы пятилетней давности) и люблю срач, я вырос на этой помойке и привык к ней родимой. Но ЖЖ уже не торт, и отвращение перебарывает старые привычки.

Пытаюсь осваивать срач в фейсбуке. Пока получается плохо. Для начала решил потроллить старую знакомую, - вместе работали в мэрии. Мне эти коридоры власти быстро осточертели, а она пошла по нарастающей. Ну, ага.

Igor Rogov Only to the Aboriginals? What if I myself, being Russian, and getting fed up with your Anglo-Saxon suburban lifestyle, want to go away and live remotely with my wife and kid, to hunt wild animals, grow veggies and log the trees in some state forrest?
Would you support my plea to the Australian government to fund my truly Russian lifestyle, with strong affinity to the land, sky and stars above?

Nina Collins If you were in Russia and this was fundamental to your identity and everything about your being, yes. Indigenous Australians have a connection to land that is over a thousand of centuries old but was violently disrupted by the arrival of the British without any acknowledgement of their existence, let alone a treaty or declaration of warfare. Do you think it is fair to ban people from going to church? Why then do you agree to removing people from what is central not only to their religious beliefs, but culture, family and social ties, physical health, generational knowledge, laws etc.???

Igor Rogov I did not mean to be serious in that rant, but the whole model of making Aboriginals somehow more connected to the soil and the sky is inherently racist. By the way, Nazi racial theory was based on that same idea - that some people, namely Aryan race, by the virtue of their bloodline were connected to the soil in some special, even magical way, so that the German Nazi state policy was to take that soil from the rich plutocrats and Jews and return it to these Aryans.
It is pretty clear that someone is trying to play the role of "benevolent Hitler" to the Aboriginals. They are made believe that they are ... well... sort of Aryan race. Extremely special...
What is puzzling though is that the media is applauding. Such a short historical memory... such a disconnection from reality... Wait for some more atrocities from these new Aryans... More women and children getting abused... More lives going nowhere... More suicides... Thunderous applause!!! All this makes good news... And feeds an army of politicians...

Igor Rogov What's even more alarming is that there is an underlying assumption that only the Aboriginals or say Africans are having thousands of years uninterrupted history of family roots in soil that they are connected to. Everyone else is assumed to be a rolling stone. Cosmopolitan urban dweller of a sort. Fit in or get out. No soil for you, sucker. None of your generations count. No matter that I was uprooted by the Russian revolution, which was brought upon our family, like a climate change or a foreign invasion was brought upon other people. I am supposed to be .. well, still. white and priveleged. I made feel that way while I really don't feel that way.
Which is again, kinda racist, don't you think?
